GREATER GRAND CROSSING — A man was found unconscious and was later pronounced dead after a shooting Friday night, police said.

At 11:10 p.m., the 25-year-old man was found on the sidewalk on the 7500 block of South Langley Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing, according to Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man had a gunshot wound in his chest, Pacheco said.

The man was brought to Jackson Park Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said, and doctors there pronounced him dead.

He was identified as Keith Dixon, of the 600 block of East 76th Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Pacheco said.
