CHICAGO — Chicagoans who aren't traveling today should thank their lucky stars — because O'Hare is a nightmare right now.

United Airlines is reporting nationwide flight delays stemming from a problem with their computer system, according to the company and social media shares from travelers at O'Hare and other airports.

Around 9:30 a.m., United tweeted they were restoring flight operations.

According to the Department of Aviation, incoming and outgoing flights are delayed by 15-20 minutes at O'Hare. All other airlines weren't experience any delays. No delays were reported at Midway Airport as of 9:30 a.m.

United attributed the problems to a "network connectivity issue" early Wednesday in a tweet, and said they were "working to resolve" the issue, apologizing for the inconvenience.

Photos from O'Hare shared Wednesday morning on Twitter and Instagram show lines snaking through the airport to outdoor loading areas, and travelers are reporting delays lasting more than an hour.
