BRIDGEPORT — The 6th Annual Strike Out ALS 5K is coming to U.S. Cellular Field.
The race, which weaves runners through the streets around the ballpark, begins at 6:30 p.m. on July 11.
Pre-race registration closes Thursday, but you’ll be able to register at 5:30 p.m. on the day of the race for $50. Register here to help fight ALS, a disease that destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

For those who register before race day, pre-race packet pick-up will be held between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Road Runner Sports, 1435 N. Kingsberry St.
There will be a post-race party at ChiSox Bar and Grill, which will offer a reduced price menu and $3 beers.
All donations go to the Les Turner ALS Research and Patient Center at Northwestern Medicine.
