RAVENSWOOD — What sounds like more fun: trigonometry or intro to deejaying?

If you picked deejaying, there's actually a school that'll teach you how to become the next Skrillex, David Guetta or Calvin Harris (date with Taylor Swift not included).

Scratch DJ Academy, co-developed by Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, opened in Chicago in 2013 and has already outgrown its River North digs.

To celebrate its move to a new home at 4001 N. Ravenswood Ave., the academy is throwing an open house party, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Wednesday. No pressure, but the music had better be on fleek.

According to the academy's general manager Paige Peavler, the switch in locations means Scratch now has the space it needs to offer music production courses — sampling techniques, building original sounds, fundamentals of mastering, etc. — in addition to deejay classes.

Wednesday's event will include demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Classes start July 18.
