WICKER PARK —   A popular Ramen spot where eaters slurp down bowls of Chef Shin Thompson's hot or cold noodles to rap and hip hop is giving its fans a chance to put their freestyle skills to use — and earn free Ramen for an entire year.

Announced on Tuesday, the restaurant at 1571 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park will award one winner a grand prize of free Ramen every day for a year. The only rules are no foul language and "Furious Spoon" must be mentioned in the rap.

To enter, users must record a short freestyle video that mentions “Furious Spoon” and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #Furious4Bars.

Each week on Friday, the restaurant will announce one winner who will receive a free bowl of ramen for themselves and five friends and move on to the final competition for the grand prize.

Entries will be judged on creativeness, enthusiasm, and uniqueness.

The final competition will be held on July 25 during Wicker Park fest, when the four weekly winners will compete in a freestyle face-off on the restaurant's new patio area.
