RIVER NORTH — Chicagoans craving Italian food can now get it delivered straight from Eataly.

The River North "grocerant," located at 43 E. Ohio St., said Wednesday it launched the new service delivering some of its most popular lunch items including sandwiches, pastries, antipasti and Italian sodas. Delivery service will extend from 18th Street to Montrose Avenue and from Lake Michigan to Pulaski Road.

“This service is about more than just another restaurant offering delivery,” Jason Goldsmith, Eataly general manager, said in a statement. “It’s about Eataly sharing with Chicago our best products and dishes, which more often than not, are made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and the best Italian traditions.”

Eataly said it partnered with delivery service Caviar on the new service. Delivery for now is limited to Downtown. Those who order delivery through the service from July 1 through July 8 will receive a voucher for a free glass of wine or Italian soda.
