CHICAGO — The city announced Monday that Navy Pier's ginormous Ferris wheel is getting a reboot, but the 1995 original is still a much celebrated — and maligned — attraction for visitors.
Before their reviews become obsolete over the next year, we take a look for our series Chicago, Reviewed at what Yelpers have to say about the ride.
The Navy Pier Ferris wheel earned 3.5 stars out of 5 from 133 reviews.
All reviews credited to Yelp and may be partial.
... And some say it goes too slowly ...
... But some — are those golden locks, Alexander N.? — say it's juuust right.
But this Ferris wheel fairy tale is not without villains.

Consuming boxed wine is usually not advised before or during carnival rides.
Poor Janet E., who never could jump out of the Ferris wheel box, and so there she remains, circling and circling for eternity. Writing Yelp review after Yelp review of various spiders.
Katrina X., another Yelper doomed never to escape the ride. It's not called a tourist TRAP For nothing.
David N. gets it. Why must we be Chicagoans or tourists? Aren't we all just people? People who like giant wheels that carry us to the sky?
Relax, and let yourself enjoy the view. After all, isn't this the:
At least for now.
