HYDE PARK — The Jackson Park Advisory Council is gearing up for its annual picnic.

The group will hold a potluck picnic at 6:30 p.m. July 13 in the park at the Iowa Building, 1750 E. 56th St.

The monthly meeting will also be held to talk about plans for the Iowa Building, which was the site of a fatal shooting last summer, and to elect an interim vice president.
