Bridgeport, Brighton Park Burglaries Lead to Police Warning

CHICAGO — Police are cautioning residents after a string of burglaries in Bridgeport and Brighton Park.

In the five incidents, burglars entered through garages and stole items, police said in a statement.

The most recent burglaries occurred Saturday in the 3500 block of South Rockwell Street and the 800 block of West 33rd Street. Two more incidents occurred in the 3100 block of South Aberdeen Street around 4:40 p.m. and 10 p.m. June 15. The first reported incident occurred at 1 p.m. June 1 in the 3000 block of West 38th Place, police said.
 
Police are urging residents to keep the perimeter of their property well lit and report suspicious activity immediately.
