UPTOWN — If you're looking for an excuse to have a cocktail or two, it's officially craft gin week in Chicago.

Bar on Buena, 910 W. Buena Ave., is celebrating Thursday by offering special cocktails containing the botanical spirit and serving tonic water on tap.

Expect to pay $8-12 for cocktails containing New Holland Knickerbocker and Barrel Aged Knickerbocker Gin.

Top Note Tonics will be served on tap from a "nifty little gadget called a 'Party Pig'" pressurized keg, according to a news release.

Non-gin cocktails will be served as well.

Other bars and distilleries across the city are highlighting craft gin this week, too.

At CH Distillery and Cocktail Bar, 564 W. Randolph St., for example, you can order a special cocktail containing Atlas Brewing Company gin. Plus, its chef is offering up a three-course menu featuring gin or gin botanicals in each dish for $30.

For a list of participating watering holes, visit craft gin week's website.
