CHICAGO — A man was shot dead in a possible drive-by on Tuesday in Grand Crossing, police said.
The 19-year-old was shot multiple times at 2:05 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Ellis Avenue, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Officer Veejay Zala said the man was pronounced dead.
He was later identified as Devon Davis, 19, of the 7500 block of South Indiana Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The victim was a documented gang member, according to police.
