CHICAGO — A 46-year-old man was killed after being struck by a car in West Pullman Wednesday morning, police said.
At 11 a.m., a 19-year-old was driving north on Halsted Street at 118th Street when his car struck a light pole and then a 46-year-old man who was walking on the sidewalk, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene, Sedevic said.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, and police are investigating, Sedevic said.
