CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was killed and two others were hurt in a crash in South Deering Thursday night, police said.

Around 10:05 p.m., the Ford Crown Victoria the three were traveling in crashed in the 11600 block of South Torrence Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The car was driving southbound on Torrence Avenue when the 19-year-old man lost control of it, hitting a curb and fire hydrant before crashing through a fence and striking a porch, Sedevic said.

The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead shortly after the crash. The passengers, an 18-year-old man and 20-year-old man, were taken to Christ Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, Sedevic said.
