Friday

Eat a Fried-Pickle-Topped Burger. After much anticipation, AMK Kitchen Bar opened Wednesday, on the northeast corner of Armitage and Damen avenues, next to Polonia Liquors. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday- Saturday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.  See the food and drink menu.  For updates, visit the restaurant's Facebook page.

Saturday

Meet Brian Hopkins, 'New 2' staffers. The city's 2nd Ward opens its permanent office for constituents and kicks off with a city sticker sale and food trucks, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 1400 N. Ashland Ave.

Go swimming or sunbathing. Holstein Park pool hours are 9 a.m. a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; consult the Holstein pool schedule for lap swim, open swim and family swim times. Buy "frozen at the peak of freshness" fish.   Wixter Fish Market opened last weekend, offering vacuum-packed frozen fish and canned sardines, clams and octopus. The store announced a special on Facebook: EZ King Crab and EZ Lobster tails for $40. The deal, though June 21, also includes a free thermal bag.  Hours are 10 a.m to 9 p.m.. Saturday;  noon to 6 p.m. Sunday,  2110 W. Division St.

Ride naked or watch naked cyclists.   Keep your eyes peeled (or depending on your preferences, closed) as the World Naked Bike Ride Chicago edition starts in the West Loop and, if previous years are any indication, passes through Wicker Park's main Milwaukee, Damen and North avenues intersection around 11 p.m.  See photos from the Wicker Park portion of the ride in 2012.

Sunday

Buy veggies, win Morrissey tickets.  The Wicker Park Farmers Market opens for the season with 16 vendors (see the full list here) and a chance to win tickets to Morrissey's July 9 concert at the Civic Opera House.  Market hours are 8 a.m to 2 p.m Sundays, 1425 N. Damen Ave., through Oct. 25.

Enjoy a free Classical Music Concert.   The Symphony Sounds quartet will be performing a free show in conjunction with the market.   Concert begins at 11 a.m. 1425 N. Damen Ave.

Participate in a Backyard Barbecue. Chef Patrick Cloud of Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits will be manning the grill, serving up Togarashi rubbed smoked brisket; biscuit with ramp butter; corn on the cob, herb bulgur salad with tomato and cucumber; key lime and chocolate pecan pie. Cost is $20 for a plate and a drink. From 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sportsman's Club, 948 N. Western Ave.

Take a walk along The 606.    The 2.7-mile long Bloomindale Trail, a jogging, walking, biking, and skating path, opened to great masses last weekend.  Vist any of the trail's 12 access points, or 4 parks, to hop on or off.  See a map here.   Hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
