CANARYVILLE — Father's Day is almost upon us, and kids throughout the neighborhood are pondering what to get Dad for his special day.

The Taylor-Lauridsen Park Advisory Council hopes to help with its first-ever Father's Day event at the park.

From 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, neighborhood kids can visit the Taylor-Lauridsen Meeting Rooms at 704 W. 42nd St. for a chance to make a card, frame a picture or create a custom craft for their dad, grandfather or uncle.

The event costs $3 for materials.

For fun, there will a golf putting green and light concessions.
