BACK OF THE YARDS — The Plant, an eco-conscious food business incubator, will hold weekly farmers market starting in June.

The farmers market will feature a rotating lineup of community organizations and businesses. The Plant's tenant businesses will also be present: Savory pies and breads will be available from Pleasant House Bakery and mushrooms and greens will be sold by Plant Chicago.

The farmers markets will run 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturdays starting June 27 at The Plant, 1400 W. 46th St.

LINK Cards will be accepted.

"I think something we're looking forward to is welcoming more people to The Plant, which is a really cool project," marketing manager Liz Lyon said.
