BRIDGEPORT — The neighborhood farmers market opens this weekend.
The Bridgeport Art Center Community Market kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday and runs 8 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday through Sept. 5. It will feature organically grown fruits and vegetables, jewelry made by local artists and indoor art galleries.
Admission is free and it's also free to park in the center's parking lot at 1200 W. 35th St.
Though it's free for vendors to sell goods, they must fill out an application with the Bridgeport Art Center. Interested vendors can get more information by calling 773-247-3000.
