DUNNING — The Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library will be transformed into a pop-up Maker's Lab that will allow visitors to explore the cutting edge of computer-aided design.
Curious technology-lovers can watch demonstrations of three-dimensional printers and electronic cutting machines from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Dunning library, 7455 W. Cornelia Ave.
The lab, which drew crowds in the Edgebrook branch library in August, is an effort by city officials to introduce residents to computer-aided design and new technology that has the potential to transform how items are manufactured, officials said.
