CHICAGO — Chicago Police have arrested and charged Kay Kong, 35, with the murder of a 22-year-old Bridgeport man, according to police.

In a statement, authorities said Kong, of the 3400 block of S. Wood St., is charged with first-degree murder, one felony count of aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm and one felony count of armed violence for his role in a shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

Around 11:30 p.m. on May 21, the men, ages 22 and 19, were found shot in an alley in the 1300 block of West 31st Place, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Both men were taken to Stroger Hospital.
