SOUTH CHICAGO — A 33-year-old man died after being shot in his face Thursday in South Chicago, police said.
The man was shot at 11:38 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Commercial Avenue, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Ramon Gartman, 33, of the 7600 block of South Kingston Avenue, was pronounced dead at 12:12 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
