Man Killed in Englewood Shooting Identified, Officials Say

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in West Englewood Thursday night, police said.

Around 7:24 p.m., the man was fighting with other men in the 6400 block of South Damen Avenue when one man pulled out a gun and fired shots, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot multiple times in his head and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Cooper said.

Alvin Vincent Randolph, 19, of the 6400 block of South Damen Avenue, was pronounced at 8:09 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

According to police, the incident appeared to be gang-related.
