WASHINGTON PARK — Students from Imagine Englewood If and Chicago Youth Programs will share their work on May 15 at a spring showcase.

"As We See It: Perspectives of Washington Park and Englewood Youth" will be held at the Currency Exchange Cafè, 305 E. Garfield Blvd., from 4:30-7 p.m. The free event will include food and drinks.

South Side in Focus worked with the two groups throughout the winter and spring. They were asked to share their stories by simply taking photos of their day-to-day experiences.

The goal was to bring all the photos together and use them to launch a dialog about their lives and communities. The community is invited to see a physical installation of the photos and videos and listen to interviews with the students about their community.

Students will perform poetry that reflects their neighborhood at 5 p.m.
