West Rogers Park Man Charged for Fatally Stabbing Mother

CHICAGO — A West Rogers Park man is facing charges after fatally stabbing his mother, police said.

Jerome Jackson, 24, of the 6200 block of North Bell Avenue, was charged with first-degree murder after stabbing his mother during a domestic dispute Tuesday, police said.

According to the Tribune, Jackson got into an argument with his mother, which escalated into a physical fight where he beat her and stabbed her.

His mother was identified as Jerren Jackson, of the same block. She was pronounced dead at 4:49 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Jackson is scheduled to appear in bond court Thursday.
