EDGEWATER — A woman was injured in a fire at The Breakers high-rise apartments on North Sheridan Road, authorities said.
The fire on the 28th floor was put out by about 10:30 a.m. at 5333 N. Sheridan Road and a woman was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in stable conditions, the Chicago Fire Department reported.
The Breakers is a retirement home.
