Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wound to the Head in Little Village, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was found dead in Little Village early Sunday, police said.

Around 5:19 a.m., a man, whose age was unavailable, was found with a gunshot wound to his head in the 2400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.

The man was dead when police arrived, Cooper said.

The Office of the Medical Examiner later identified the man as 43-year-old Luis A. Perez, of the 2700 block of W. 24th St.
