CHICAGO — Four men were wounded in separate shootings on the South and West Sides Sunday afternoon, police said.

Around 2 p.m. in Humboldt Park, three men were standing on the street in the 900 block of North Karlov Avenue when they heard shots, started running and felt pain, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

A 21-year old man was shot in his thigh and taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in good condition. An 18-year-old was shot in his buttocks and also taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in good condition. Another 18-year-old man was shot in his hip and taken to John H. Stroger Hospital in good condition, Lemmon said.

In Englewood at 1 p.m., a 20 year-old man was standing in the 200 block of West 59th Street when a man in a black hooded sweatshirt walked up and demanded money before firing shots, Lemmon said.

The 20-year-old was shot in his index finger and drove himself to Saint Bernard Hospital where he was listed in good condition, Lemmon said.

According to police, the incident was a gambling dispute.

At press time, a total of 3 people had died and at least 24 had been wounded in shootings since Friday afternoon, according to police.
