CHICAGO — For those who can't wait for the clouds to go away, don't fret: Warmer weather is in store for Friday and Saturday, weather officials said.

The National Weather Service says it will hit 73 degrees in Chicago on Friday and 71 on Saturday.

Some suburbs, meanwhile, will be basking in 80 degree temps on Friday.

Winds from the lake will make it noticeably cooler on the lakefront Friday with temperatures between 68 and 70 degrees, said Matt Friedlein of the National Weather Service. In the outlaying areas of the city, temperatures will hover around 74 and 78 degrees.

On Saturday, winds from the lake will be more pronounced and will have more noticeable effect on the temperatures, Friedlein added. Along the lakefront, temperatures will hover around the lower to mid 60s and outlaying neighborhoods will reach 69 to 75 degrees.

But the sunny skies won't last forever: Sunday will look more like a typical April spring day with temperatures in the upper 50s along the lake and in the mid-60s inland, Friedlein said.
