WICKER PARK — High Noon Saloon will celebrate its second anniversary on Thursday with $2 tacos, a bourbon tasting and tapping of a rye porter, Smoking Wood.

Set for 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursday, the party will feature $2 tacos (normally $3 to $4 each), bottles of Three Floyds beer for $5 and the opportunity to drink Smoking Wood, from Orange County, California’s The Bruery.

The taco choices will include adobo-marinated steak, beer-battered fish, al pastor, Barbacoa-style chicken, applewood-smoked brisket or mushroom.

The $5 Three Floyds beer options are Jinx Proof, Alpha King, Robert the Bruce, Gumballhead and Zombie Dust.

Smoking Wood, an imperial smoked rye porter no longer brewed, will be available in $13, 11.5-ounce drafts. The beer features light spiciness and smokiness with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak, according to a news release.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Angel’s Envy Bourbon Whiskey tasting, with Bryson Ryan from the Louisville Distilling Company, will provide education on the barrel-finished bourbon.

There is no cover charge and food and drink are pay-as-you-go.
