CHICAGO — A 24-year-old woman was fatally shot in Uptown early Wednesday.
Around 1:49 a.m., the woman was a passenger in a car driving in the 4500 block of North Broadway when someone opened fire striking the woman in her head, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The driver of the car took the woman to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, Cooper said.
No one is in custody and police are investigating.
