RIVER NORTH — Renderings of the office and apartment building Centrum Partners LLC is proposing for a prominent River North corner look clear and glassy.

Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd) sent an email to constituents last week detailing an upcoming community meeting on the project at Hubbard and Wells streets, which calls for an eight-story office building and adjoining 22-story, 193-unit apartment tower.

Centrum did not provide a rendering of the project at that time, saying its architect was still making changes to the design. But when asked Wednesday about a rendering DNAinfo obtained, a Centrum representative said the image shown here would be part of the presentation.

Centrum owns one of the development sites, and is under contract to buy another from the Chicago Transit Authority. Both properties, which are tucked behind the "L" tracks heading into the Merchandise Mart stop, are vacant and used for parking.

The community meeting on the proposal, which will be hosted by Reilly and the River North Residents Association, will be held at 6 p.m. March 31 at Paris Club, 59 W. Hubbard St.
