COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — The North Lawndale woman who was arrested last week after police found $1.5 million of drugs in her house was ordered held on $100,000 bail.

If Lauren Henry, 24, wants to post bond, she'll have to appear at a source of bail hearing, Cook County Judge James Brown ordered on Friday. Prosecutors request these hearings in drug cases if they think a defendant won't have a legitimate source of income.

Police arrested Henry just before 5 p.m. Thursday when she opened a UPS package containing 614 grams of marijuana, according to an arrest report.

Police said in a statement they'd been tipped off to a "suspicious package that was received at a local shipping facility" earlier that day.

When officers raided Henry's house in the 2200 block of South Kildare Avenue, they found five assault rifles with extended clips, two loaded pistols, a revolver, a stash of ammunition, two bulletproof vests and a high-power bolt-action rifle with a scope, police said.

As officers moved through the house, they found nearly 17 pounds of heroin, 12 pounds of cocaine, more than a pound of crack cocaine, and an additional 112 grams of weed — for a total of 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana — according to court records.

Police estimate the total value of the drugs at $1,532,477.

Officers found the torn UPS shipping label in Henry's bedroom, as well as several papers proving she lived at the address, court records show.

In a second bedroom, police recovered approximately $95,608 cash and a clear plastic bag of fentanyl, according to court records. It's not clear who lived in the second bedroom, and police haven't charged anyone else in the raid.

Officers found scales, mixers, a money counter and multiple bags and boxes of drugs in the kitchen and dining room, court records show.

Henry was charged with five counts of drug possession and two counts of possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card. She has no criminal background.

Henry's next court date is April 8.
