NORTH PARK — Where does syrup come from?
Find out at this weekend's Maple Syrup Festival at North Park Village Nature Center.
The annual free event takes people through the entire syrup-making process, from tapping trees and collecting sap to boiling it down into syrup. And of course taste-testing the syrup hot off the fire. Bring your own pancakes.
The festival also features storytelling and crafts and is open to all ages, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, 5801 N. Pulaski Rd.
