CHICAGO — Chance the Rapper or Chance the ... Actor?

The South Side rapper, who captured the attention of hip-hop lovers in Chicago and across the country with his 2013 mixtape "Acid Rap," is trying his hand at acting.

The 24-minute film was released around 1 p.m. via Chance's twitter. You can watch the film here.

Chance, aka Chancelor Bennett, announced via Instagram Thursday that he'd be starring in the Colin Tilley short film "Mr. Happy."

 

 

 

Tilley is an award-winning music video director, who's created visuals for Lil Wayne, Justin Beiber, Enrique Iglesias and Zendaya. Chance is working on his first album, "Surf," with his band the Social Experiment and Donnie Trumpet.

Chance already has shown his versatility as a musician, but can he act?
