UPTOWN — An IT technology company in Sheridan Park is hosting its first St. Baldrick's event March 20.

The SMB Help Desk, 4147 N. Ravenswood Ave., is hoping to raise $10,000 at its inaugural event, which be held at its office from 2:30-5 p.m., organizer Marvin Korves said. As of Monday afternoon, they had raised $7,200, Korves said.

Beginning at 2:30 p.m., there will be a corn hole tournament. It costs $20 per person to join the game and the winner will take home a 30-inch TV.

At 3 p.m., participants will gather for a preshave picture. Then, shaving will start and go until 5 p.m., when there will be a postshave picture and the corn hole winner will be announced.

Free food and drinks will be served throughout, including both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, brats and hotdogs, Korves said.

"If it goes well, I want to do it every year," Korves said.
