LINCOLN SQUARE — Friends of Amundsen is hosting a mixer on Wednesday for families looking for a less stressful alternative to the selective enrollment process.

The "decompression session" will include a presentation on Amundsen's academic programs and progress, with plenty of time for socializing, fron 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Borelli's Pizza, 2124 W. Lawrence Ave.

Parents who've recently been through the selective enrollment process or see it coming on the horizon are encouraged to attend and bring their middle schoolers with them to the event.
