North Park Burglaries Lead to Warning From Police

CHICAGO — Police are warning North Park residents to be on the lookout for suspicious people and activity after a string of burglaries around the neighborhood in February.

During the burglaries, someone pries or kicks open doors and takes jewelry, cash and small electronics. Police have no description of the burglar or burglars.

The incidents occurred:

• Between 11 a.m.-7:40 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 5900 block of North St. Louis Avenue.

• Between 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 5800 block of North Christiana Avenue.

• Between 5-6 p.m. Feb. 15-20 in the 6100 block of North Kimball Avenue.

• At 3:48 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 5800 block of North Spaulding Avenue.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.

Police also issued warnings about burglaries in Lincoln Park and Hyde Park.
