AVONDALE — A new exhibit at Avondale’s Corner gallery will present a unique take on old tales — a “fairytale for all ages,” according to an announcement for the event.

Cabin in the Snow” saw a big enough turnout on its first night that showrunners will host a second evening Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Corner, 2912 N. Milwaukee Ave.

The weekend show is an interactive, four-dimensional story “told through a series of mechanical suitcase sculptures,” inviting visitors to pull levers and turn cranks. The story is performed by puppeteers Antora Delong and Lara Vanderheiden, with live musical accompaniment by James Fleming.

When the suitcase puppets are not being performed, they can be viewed as an exhibit during Corner gallery hours.
