HYDE PARK — Creating successful middle schools in the neighborhood is at the top of the agenda for the Hyde Park Community Action Council for Schools on Wednesday.

The group of school and community leaders will meet with researchers from the University of Chicago’s Consortium of Chicago School Research about research on how to spot middle schoolers who may fall off track in high school.

The group will meet at 6 p.m. in the King Room at Kenwood Academy, 5015 S. Blackstone Ave.

The report, released in November, said grades and attendance give far more clues about how a student will perform in high school than standardized test scores.
