WEST LOOP — Hot spot Formento's in the West Loop is now open for lunch.

Starting Tuesday, the old-school Italian restaurant, 925 W. Randolph St., will open for lunch service daily at 11 a.m.

Chef Tony Quartaro's lunch menu at Formento's features sandwiches, soup, salads, pasta and more. Dishes include eggplant parmesan; wedding soup with chicken meatballs & parmesan; Nona's meatball sub; and shrimp Scampi with Cook Islands langoustine, shrimp sausage and lemon bread crumbs.

Lunch reservations are available now.

The red-sauce restaurant opened in January along with Nona's, a takeout sandwich shop attached to Formento's.

B. Hospitality Co., the team behind The Bristol and Balena, owns the restaurants.
