Police Warn of South Side Armed Robberies

CHICAGO — Police are warning Grand Crossing and Park Manor residents about armed robberies in the area in February.

The robberies occurred near 61st Street and Michigan Avenue and 61st and Indiana Avenue this month, police said.

During the attacks, the man used a chrome or nickel-colored gun, police said.

The robber is described as a black man 16-20 years old, about 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall and weighing 145-170 pounds, police said.
