RIVER NORTH — SideDoor turns 1-year-old next week, and everyone is invited to the party.

The gastropub at the corner of Rush and Ontario streets will serve a dollar menu in honor of its first anniversary Wednesday, Feb. 18. The promotion will last from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., or while supplies last.

Dollar menu items will include three-ounce beers — for brews regularly priced less than $9 — and appetizers such as avocado mash, IPA beer pretzels, deviled eggs and baked macaroni and cheese. Guests must purchase food to buy dollar beers.

An extension of Lawry's, 100 E. Ontario St., SideDoor opened last year with a menu that includes cheeseburgers and lamb-shank pie. General manager Max Maxwell said then that the relatively casual SideDoor would "cultivate the next generation" of Lawry's steakhouse customers.

SideDoor does not accept reservations. Visit the restaurant's website to learn more.
