PORTAGE PARK — The Portage Park Neighborhood Association will host a forum featuring at least some of the candidates running for mayor of Chicago.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been invited to the forum set to start at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N. Knox Ave., but has not said whether he plans to attend, organizers said.

Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd), Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, D-Chicago, entrepreneur Willie Wilson and perennial candidate William "Dock" Walls are scheduled to speak for 10 minutes and take questions for 10 minutes, organizers said.

The moderator of the forum has not yet been announced.

Steve Mayberry, a spokesman for Emanuel's campaign, did not respond to a request for comment Monday.

The last scheduled mayoral debate is set for Tuesday and will be sponsored by the Chicago Urban League and carried on WBBM-TV Channel 2 and WVON 1690-AM.

The election is set for Feb. 24, with a runoff April 7 if no candidate earns 50 percent of the vote.
