LINCOLN SQUARE — Three aldermen threw their support behind Amundsen and Lake View high schools over the weekend.
Now it's the community's turn to get involved.
Friends of Amundsen, a nonprofit group whose members volunteer and fundraise on the school's behalf, is holding its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school's library, 5110 N. Damen Ave.
Interested neighbors are invited to attend. Learn more about recent successes at the school — freshmen on track to graduate in four years is at 94 percent, up from 74 percent three years ago — and what Friends of Amundsen is doing to spread the word and assist the school in its efforts.
