NORWOOD PARK — The sound of trains rumbling through the Norwood Park Metra Station will be accompanied by Sami Lin's big voice and acoustic guitar as part of Friendship Presbyterian Church's Friday Night Love Songs program.

The concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Norwood Park Metra Station, 6088 N. Northwest Highway, is free, but a collection will be held for Taft High School and the Night Ministry at Friendship Presbyterian Church, organizers said.

Sami Lin Schwieger, a sophomore at Taft, has performed at a variety of local events, including Edison Park Fest and the Rock the Badges fundraiser.

She released her first CD, "Tracks From My Past," in 2014.

The program — with drinks and snacks provided by the church — has raised more than $11,000 for a variety of charities, including the Night Ministry, the Taft High School music department and the New Hope Food Pantry, organizers said.
