CHICAGO— A man was charged Friday after a fatal shooting a man and wounding another earlier this week, police said.
Christopher Cage, 27, of the 300 block of West 109th Place, was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder, and one felony count of attempt murder in the first degree, police said in a statement.
Cage was arrested after allegedly shooting two men on Jan. 29.
The shooting occurred around 2:05 a.m. Thursday in the 11900 block of South Yale Avenue.
A 24-year-old man was shot in his head and pronounced dead at the scene. A 39-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest, and listed in critical condition, the statement said.
The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at scene at 3:30 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He has been identified as Mayron Collier, of the 10000 South of South Pulaski Road.
Cage appeared in bond court Friday.
