ROSCOE VILLAGE — When it comes to nabbing early admission tickets to Festibarrel, Riverview Tavern's annual celebration of barrel-aged beers, you snooze, you lose.
One hundred of the $50 tickets, and 100 only, will be available for purchase online at noon Saturday.
The festival, scheduled for Jan. 31, 1958 W. Roscoe St., is actually free to enter. Purchasing early admission comes with 10 $5 drink tickets and allows the ticket holder to enter the fest at 11 a.m. — an hour earlier than its official noon opening — while bypassing all lines at the door.
Nearly three dozen beers have been announced to date for Festibarrel, including some vintage bottles of Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout.
