ENGLEWOOD — A group of Englewood organizations has invited all of the candidates for mayor to appear at a candidate forum in February.

“Englewood Votes!” is made up of a coalition of Englewood residents and organizations. The nonpartisan group works toward increasing voter turnout in the community, which is why its members have invited the candidates to participate in a forum from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 18 at Lindblom Math & Science Academy, 6130 S. Wolcott Ave.

Those running against Mayor Rahm Emanuel include Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd), Willie Wilson and County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia.

The mayor's office on Monday announced five debates with Emanuel's challengers, but the Englewood forum was not among the list of scheduled events.

The citywide election is Feb. 24.
