CHICAGO — Frasca's Pizzeria and Wine Bar is celebrating National Pizza Week by hosting a weeklong pizza party with cooking classes, daily specialty pizzas and pizza giveaways.
The fun begins Monday at Frasca's, 3358 N. Paulina St., with half-price wine bottles and a hand-crafted pizza pie by executive chef Todd Stein featuring havarti cheese, fennel sausage, cured tomatoes and pickled fennel. Stein will create a new specialty pie for each day of the weeklong celebration and kids eat free daily from 4:30-6 p.m.
Wednesday night pizzas are buy one, get one free.
The celebration concludes with two pizza classes, one for adults and one for children under 12. On Saturday from 3:30-5:30 p.m., adult chefs can learn to create the perfect margherita or pepperoni pizza with Frasca's signature crispy thin crust. The pizza class is $30 and includes two glasses of beer or wine.
From 3-5:30 p.m. Sunday, a similar class will be available for children under 12. The children's class is $15 and includes soft drinks and ice cream.
