CHICAGO — A 54-year-old man was stabbed in the neck by an "aggressive" passenger after exiting a CTA bus in Wicker Park Friday, police said.

Around 5 p.m., the 54-year-old man boarded a CTA bus near the intersection of North and Damen avenues and noticed an aggressive passenger aboard the bus, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man got off the bus in the 2400 block of West North Avenue and was followed by the aggressive bus passenger, who stabbed him in his neck, Lemmon said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Lemmon said.

No one is in custody for the stabbing, Lemmon said.
