Ronnie Baker Brooks Will Perform At Beverly Arts Center On Jan. 23

 A bluesman with pedigree, Ronnie Baker Brooks will perform at 8 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Beverly Arts Center. The son of Chicago blues legend Lonnie Brooks and the brother of blues guitarist Wayne Baker Brooks, Ronnie Baker Brooks has recently released his third album titled, "The Torch."

MORGAN PARK — A bluesman with pedigree, Ronnie Baker Brooks will perform at 8 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Beverly Arts Center.

The son of Chicago blues legend Lonnie Brooks and the brother of blues guitarist Wayne Baker Brooks, Ronnie Baker Brooks has recently released his third album, titled "The Torch."

"Every time I play, I feel like I've got to do it with the authenticity and passion that I saw in guys like Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, B.B. King and my father. But I also have to put my twist on it," he said.

Tickets for the show at 2407 West 111th St. in Morgan Park cost $26, or $23 for arts center members. For more information, visit the center's website or call 773-445-3838.
